Already in February 2024 we released a free IIoT Adapter for Siemens Sinumerik controllers that enables you to add OPC UA Server, MTConnect Adapter and SQL Database access functionality directly to machines with these devices.
In addition to reading machine- quality and process data the Adapter supports writing and changing of parameters from a remote location f.i. with our C# Open Source Client.

The Adapter can be used on Siemens Sinumerik 840D controllers with MS Windows XP or 7 OS running HMI Advanced or Embedded. In addition to output of Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) device states licensed versions enable acquisition of up to 30 freely definable items per reading cycle.
