SET OR ADJUST DEVICE PARAMETERS | CNCNETCONTROL MANUAL

CNCnetControl enables you to set or change writable variables or parameters at a selected controller. To do so you have to first select a device in the left pane of the main dialog followed by clicking on button 'Cmd'. An additional dialog opens:

Send Command Dialog

FIG 1:  Send command dialog of CNCnetControl

Under 'Number' (1) you can now input or select the number of a command as defined in the INI file of the selected device followed by the new value (2) for this parameter or variable.

Example: If you have a machine with number 1001 and a Sinumerik controller that uses the sinumerikda.dll driver CNCnetPDM automatically creates INI file sinumerikda_1000.ini. In this file you can find a list of commands. Command number 21 is used to read 'R Variable 2':

[21]
Active = 1
Name = RVAR2
Comment = R variable 2
Command = /Channel/Parameter/rpa[u1,2]
Output item =
Output section = 3
FIG 2:  Definition for command 21 in device INI file

However, this command is also writable. So, if you input number 21 followed by 155 and click OK you set 'R Variable 2' at the controller to value 155. You can quickly check the result in the main dialog of CNCnetControl.

In addition the results of the operation get written to the log file of the device.
